Auto Center to Be Developed

Share

Plans are being developed for a 96-acre auto center in the California Commerce Center at Ontario, with an expected 10 auto dealers occupying the facility east of the Devore (15) Freeway at the Jarupa Street intersection. No time schedule was announced.

The developer, Ontario Industrial Partners, in cooperation with the Ontario Redevelopment Agency, announced development cost of the center as $2.5 million, a figure that does not include tenants’ cost of constructing their own facilities. Tenant dealers will be eligible for financial assistance through the redevelopment agency.

The commerce center, also developed by Ontario Industrial Partners, is a 1,350-acre, $1-billion business park adjoining Ontario International Airport. Its 288-acre first phase is sold out and more than 2 million square feet of buildings are under construction; the center will enter the second phase of development this fall.
