The Atlanta Braves suspended troubled pitcher Pascual Perez for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount for missing the team flight to San Francisco Wednesday.
A spokeswoman said Perez had dropped off his bags early Wednesday at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, then told team officials he would find his own way to the airport. When Perez failed to show up, the team left.
He arrived in San Francisco Thursday in the ninth inning of the game between the Giants and Braves.
