GREEK SEAT

Regarding Patrick Goldstein’s article about the Greek Theater (Pop Eye, Aug. 4), I was feeling really stupid the other night at the Pat Metheny concert.

It was the first show on my Series No. 7 tickets. I sent my money in back in February and also just received my tickets. I admit I sent for the cheapest seats, but was shocked when I got to the very last aisle of the Greek! Way up in God’s area, and they weren’t even seats. It was a bench!

I asked everybody sitting there around me if they ordered the same way and, sure as heck--subscribers. I thought there was an advantage to giving the Greek my money five, six months ahead of time?

I got ripped off. Next time you’re at any of the Series No. 7 shows, stand up and wave to me. I’m the guy with the stupid look on his face all the way in the back.
