Public television’s “Life of Verdi” was a masterpiece. The acting was superb and Burt Lancaster’s narration had just the right subtle touch to give life to it all. We’ve also enjoyed “Reilly: Ace of Spies” and “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” which was an exciting theatrical experience on TV.
