Former Tulane Player Set to Face Trial Today
John (Hot Rod) Williams, the central figure in the Tulane University point-shaving scandal, goes on trial in New Orleans today. Williams is charged with accepting cocaine and cash from gamblers.

Williams, 23, had been set to face a six-person jury beginning last Monday, but his attorneys gained a last-minute delay to study new evidence.
