Sepulveda Man Killed as Truck Hits His Car
A38-year-old Sepulveda man was killed Tuesday morning when his car was hit by a truck, police said.
Los Angeles Police Officer Jon Coddington said that Jose G. Mesa was turning left onto Ventura Canyon Avenue from Roscoe Boulevard in Sepulveda about 6 a.m. when the car Mesa was driving was broadsided by an 18-wheel truck-trailer moving west on Roscoe.
Mesa was pronounced dead on arrival at Kaiser Permanente Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Coddington said no charges would be filed against the driver of the rig.
