A San Diego woman died Wednesday of injuries she sustained when she was hit by a pickup truck in Chula Vista, the San Diego County coroner’s office said.
The California Highway Patrol said Josefina Placedes Bersabe, 55, an unemployed machine operator, was seen running across the intersection of Anita Street and Industrial Boulevard at 11:30 a.m. and was hit by a pickup truck driving south on Industrial Boulevard.
Bersabe was taken to Bay Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
