Truck Collision Snarls Freeway
Two trucks collided today on the eastbound transition road from the Santa Monica Freeway to the Pomona Freeway, blocking traffic for more than two hours, the California Highway Patrol said. A CHP spokesman said one of the vehicles, a truck-trailer rig, crashed through the guard rail and was dangling halfway off the roadway. It was not known if there were any serious injuries. The rush-hour accident delayed thousands of work-bound commuters.
