Costa Mesa resident Lynn Adams earned her third national championship and the top ranking for women following the 1984-85 Women’s Professional Racquetball Assn. season.

The 28-year-old Adams did this by winning the “grand slam” (major events) of racquetball, including championships at the WPRA Nationals at Fort Worth, the DP Nationals in Boston and her first Ektelon National Championships at Anaheim.

Adams, a graduate of Estancia High School and Orange Coast College, had previously won championships and held the top ranking in women’s racquetball in 1982 and 1983, when she was honored as “Player of the Year” by National Racquetball magazine.
