Rams Waive 5 Rookies, Move 3 Others

The Rams cut five rookies and put three others on the injured reserve list Thursday, reducing their training-camp roster to 72.

Wide receiver Danny Bradley, a seventh-round pick from Oklahoma; defensive end Steve Gibson, from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and wide receiver Sam Moore, from Sam Houston State, were put on injured reserve.

Safeties Ed St. Geme, from Stanford; Jim Palmer, from Boise State, and Kevin Brown, from Northwestern, plus wide receivers Jonathan Finstuen, from Occidental, and Raymond Arnold, from Cal State Hayward, were put on waivers.

By cuts and injured reserve moves, the Rams have eliminated 10 players from their roster this week. They must get to 60 by Tuesday.
