Memorial Service Set for John Ehret, Fullerton Dentist

A memorial service will be held Aug. 24 for Dr. John H. Ehret, a Fullerton dentist for more than 30 years who died at his Aptos ranch Aug. 9 after a prolonged illness. He was 58.

Dr. Ehret was a Fullerton resident from 1954 to 1983, when he moved to a home in Aptos, Santa Cruz County, while maintaining his dental practice in Fullerton. He was a member and officer in the Orange County Dental Society, the California Dental Assn. and the American Dental Assn.

He also served as a consultant for the DentiCal program of the California Dental Assn. and was a longtime member of the advisory board of the Fullerton College Dental Assisting program.

Dr. Ehret is survived by his wife, Willowdene; three daughters, Kathy Lokken, Lisa and Amy; two sons, Frank and Charles; a sister, Jaqueline Liske, and four grandchildren.

The service will take place at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center at 1201 W. Malvern Ave. in Fullerton at 11 a.m. The family suggests donations be sent to the John H. Ehret Memorial Fund at the Veterinary School of Medicine, UC Davis, or to the American Cancer Society.
