Dallas Cowboy quarterback Danny White suffered cartilage separation of his left rib cage during the overtime of his team’s 27-24 exhibition victory at San Diego Saturday night and is doubtful for the Cowboys’ next game Monday, Aug. 26, against Chicago.
White was injured when he was sacked by Charger linebacker Linden King. White left the game two plays before Rafael Septien kicked a 48-yard, game-winning field goal.
King visited the locker room at Cowboys’ training camp following the game to apologize to the Dallas quarterback, saying he did not intend to injure him.
