Santa Ana : 2 Injured as OCTD Bus Hits Van at Intersection

Two people received minor injuries Friday when an Orange County Transit District bus hit a Volkswagen van at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Grand Avenue in Santa Ana. Santa Ana police were still investigating the accident late Friday.
Allen Blacker, 45 was reported in stable condition at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana; his daughter Laura, 8, was treated for minor injuries and released.
Bus driver Mike Hilliard said a sports car “tried to cut me off” in the intersection of Chestnut and Grand on Friday afternoon. “I was watching him when the other car (the van) stopped in front of me,” Hilliard said. Joanne Curran, a spokeswoman for the Transit District, said that Hilliard and his eight passengers were not injured.
