Heliport Request on Hold: The Security Pacific National Bank Operations Center has to wait at least one year before reapplying for permission to use a heliport already built atop its three-story Brea office building. Council members this week repeated their denial of the helipad by “dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s” with a formal resolution, Assistant City Manager Denise Ovrom said. During an Aug. 6 meeting, the council denied the banking center’s request. Hundreds of residents who have fought the proposal for years claim that the helicopters would produce too much noise.
