Chula Vista
Police arrested two people and seized 18 packets of heroin, with a street value of about $8,000, in a raid on a Park Way residence Friday.
Police also recovered an undisclosed amount of cash, hypodermic needles and a pair of nunchukas, an illegal weapon.
Manuel Jose Vasquez, 32, of Chula Vista, and Sunny Lorraine VanCleave, 23, of National City, were booked into County Jail on suspicion of possession of narcotics and hypodermic needles. Vasquez was also booked on suspicion of selling narcotics and possession of a dangerous weapon.
The raid was the second since Monday when the Chula Vista Police Department instituted its Crime Suppression Unit to concentrate on narcotics arrests.
