Braves Replace Hass With Wine

ATLANTA —
Atlanta Braves Manager Eddie Haas was fired today and replaced by Bobby Wine, a Braves coach who will manage the team for the rest of the year.
Team spokesman Wayne Minshew said Haas was informed by General Manager John Mullen that team owner Ted Turner had made the decision this morning. Haas was hired after the 1984 season to replace Joe Torre. Under Haas, the Braves are 50-71 and have lost six games in a row and 13 of the last 15.
