He Didn’t Bring Her a Hamburger; Murder Is Charged
A 53-year-old Central Los Angeles woman--upset because her boyfriend didn’t bring her home a hamburger--shot him to death, police reported this morning.
Cloie Eastland was booked on suspicion of murder after the 32-year-old victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of next of kin, died at Century Community Hospital.
Officers said the man, who had been living with Eastland on West 109th Place for about a year, visited a nearby hamburger stand Sunday night but returned without any food for her. An argument ensued and the woman fired several shots, at least one of which struck the man, according to investigators.
