Take My Picture Wins by 2 Lengths at Del Mar
Take My Picture quickly opened a long lead and never relinquished it, easily winning the $55,700 Rancho Bernardo Handicap for older fillies and mares Friday at Del Mar.
Ridden by Frank Olivares, Take My Picture finished two lengths in front of Sales Bulletin, ridden by Laffit Pincay. Longshot Mimi Baker, ridden by Alex Solis, was third, another four lengths back.
Take My Picture earned a winner’s purse of $33,200. She was clocked in 1:09 1/5 for six furlongs.
Sent off as the second choice, Take My Picture paid $7.80, $4.40 and $3.60. Sales Bulletin returned $4.20 and $3.20, and Mimi Baker, a 50-1 shot, paid $13.20 to show.
Carrying 114 pounds, Take My Picture assumed command at once, opened a four-length advantage on the turn and was not threatened in the stretch.
