Yorba Linda : Bicyclist Dies After Being Struck by Car
A Yorba Linda man died Saturday morning after suffering head injuries when his bicycle was rear-ended by a car Friday night.
Mike Siciliano, 27, was westbound on Yorba Linda Boulevard, west of Eureka Avenue, when he was struck shortly after 6 p.m. The driver of the car, Theresa Ruiz, 21, of Yorba Linda was not cited and the investigation is continuing, police said.
Siciliano was apparently traveling near the curb when struck, said Brea Police Lt. Don Rogers. (Brea police also have jurisdiction in Yorba Linda.)
Paramedics treated the victim at the scene, and he was transported to UC Irvine Medical Center by helicopter, where he died about 6 a.m.
