The Region : Chinese Defamed in Film, Suit Charges
The Federation of Chinese Organizations of America and the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Assn. has sued MGM for $100 million for allegedly libeling their members as Chinese mafia. The suit claims the organizations serve as an umbrella group for various Chinese families and clubs in Los Angeles and throughout the United States and Canada.
