A 28-year-old San Diego man died Sunday afternoon after he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding on Wildcat Canyon Road in Lakeside and skidded into oncoming traffic, the California Highway Patrol said.
A spokesman for the San Diego County Coroner’s office identified the man as Jeffrey Carl Wedeking. He said Wedeking died at 4:20 p.m. at Sharp Memorial Hospital, three hours after the accident.
