A passer-by was killed and two other people were wounded in a shooting after an argument over a parking lot craps game in South Los Angeles, police said. Detective Paul Mize said the slain man, identified as Lanard Love, 21, of Monrovia, was a passenger in a car that stopped on the street near the parking lot where the shooting occurred. The driver of the car heard shots coming from the parking lot of the Fatburger restaurant at 3444 S. Crenshaw Blvd. An errant bullet flew past the driver and hit Love in the head, Mize said. Two people in the parking lot, Tracy Powell and Lattimore Nelson, both 20, suffered minor gunshot wounds. Mize said that gang members were involved in the shooting and that no suspects were immediately arrested.
