Ricardo Bandini Johnson will give a talk on “The Life of Arcadia Bandini de Baker, Benefactress of Santa Monica” for the Santa Monica Historical Society at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17 in the Assistance League of Santa Monica Chapter House, 1439 15th St.
Bandini de Baker was the wife of Col. Robert S. Baker, co-founder of Santa Monica. She donated land in the city for parks, schools, churches, cemeteries and men’s and women’s organizations.
The city has approved a monument to Bandini de Baker that would be erected in Palisades Park.
