Fire Official Convicted of Stealing $870 From Corpse

KANSAS CITY, Kan. —
Assistant Fire Chief Jesse Hoffman, accused of taking $870 from the pocket of a pilot killed in a plane crash, was convicted Thursday of felony theft and misconduct in office.
