Fullerton (0-1) Plays Nevada Reno Today; Long Beach (0-1) Faces San Diego St. Tonight
Cal State Fullerton, coming off a 31-30 loss to Montana last week, will play host to Nevada Reno in a nonconference game today at 1 p.m. at Santa Ana Stadium.
This is the Titans’ second straight game against an NCAA Division I-AA team.
The Wolf Pack opened last week with a 56-12 win over Cal State Northridge.
Nevada Reno quarterback Eric Beavers completed 24 of 35 passes for 319 yards and three touchdowns. Ten receivers caught passes, including Bryan Calder, who had 9 catches for 139 yards.
Cal State Long Beach, which lost to Utah State last week, 19-17, will face San Diego State tonight at 7 at San Diego Jack Murphy Stadium.
The 49ers are led by quarterback Doug Gaynor, who completed a school-record 41 passes in 52 attempts for 354 yards against the Aggies.
This will be the season opener for the Aztecs, who were 4-7-1 last season.
