B of A won a California lottery contract.
Under the contract, Bank of America will provide an electronic fund transfer system for some 20,000 sellers of lottery tickets around the state. The bank expects to handle about 1 million transactions in the first year of the lottery. The bank will transfer funds from the accounts of retailers selling lottery tickets to the central account for the state lottery through the Calwestern Automated Clearing House Assn. network.
