Cal State Los Angeles has been named the site of the 1986 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Championships, NCAA officials have announced.

The meet will be held May 21-26 at Cal State’s Jesse Owens Stadium in East Los Angeles.

Cindy Smith, assistant director of NCAA championships, said the school did an outstanding job of staging the meet at Cal State last year. Four NCAA women’s records and 15 men’s and women’s meet records were set.

The NCAA also announced that Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in Claremont will host the 1986 Division III men’s tennis championships. The school, which has qualified for all 10 Division III men’s championships, hosted the Division III women’s championships last year.
