Veteran midfielder Kaz Deyna, who helped the San Diego Sockers to four straight indoor championships, has signed a two-year contract with the club, a team spokesman said Wednesday night.

Deyna, the Socker captain, has been with San Diego since its first championship season in 1981-82. The 37-year-old Deyna, whose contract expired at the end of the past Major Indoor Soccer League season, signed a two-year pact. Terms were not disclosed.

Deyna, who led Poland’s soccer team to the Olympic gold medal in 1972 and the silver in 1976, has 35 goals and 19 assists in Socker playoff games. His regular-season indoor totals with the Sockers are 114 goals and 101 assists.
