8th Chess Game a Draw

MOSCOW —
The eighth game of the World Chess Championship match between Gary Kasparov and titleholder Anatoly Karpov ended in a draw today after the 49th move in the resumed game. The draw gives Karpov, who played white, a 4 1/2 to 3 1/2 advantage over Kasparov in the 24-game series.
