Walt Disney Productions named Marty Katz, an independent producer for the last five years, senior vice president-motion picture and television production. The company also named three vice presidents who will report directly to him, as what had been two production units were merged.

Barrie Osborne will join the Burbank-based company in November as vice president-motion picture production, Mitch Ackerman was named vice president-television production and Don Hall was appointed vice president of post-production, motion pictures and television.

Katz will supervise all aspects of motion picture production for Disney and Touchstone Films, as well as production of network television pilots, series, movies and specials.
