An autopsy was pending in the case of Edith L. Burnett, 35, who died after what police said appeared to be a cocaine-induced seizure during a SWAT team raid on an alleged rock house in South-Central Los Angeles. Sgt. Sid Nuckles said Burnett was one of 10 people arrested in the 5800 block of South Arlington Avenue when officers set off a “flash-bang” diversionary device and forced their way into the house. She reportedly had a large cocaine rock in her mouth when arrested and soon after being handcuffed began to shake violently. She died at the scene, despite efforts by another woman suspect and paramedics to save her, police said.
