The Supreme Court will rule today on whether lights can be installed at Chicago’s Wrigley Field.
The Tribune Co., owner of the Chicago Cubs, has asked the court to throw out laws banning night games at the park, saying they are unconstitutional and narrowly aimed at Wrigley Field, the only major league facility without lights.
Lawyers for the state, the city of Chicago and local residents have asked the court to uphold the laws, saying they are a legal attempt to protect people from disruption caused by night baseball.
