Utah Jazz holdout Darrell Griffith has a broken toe, stalling negotiations between the National Basketball Assn. club and the free-agent guard.
The injury occurred Friday morning while Griffith was playing basketball in his native Louisville, Ky., a Jazz spokesman said.
Last season, Griffith broke the NBA season record for three-point field goals with 92, surpassing his 1983-84 record of 91. He also holds the league NBA record with 246 career three-pointers.
During the 1984-85 season, Griffith averaged a career-best 22.6 points per game.
