A class-action suit was filed against Allied-Signal.
The lawsuit, filed by William Steiner of Great Neck, N.Y., seeks to stop the payment of $23 million in benefits to executives of the Morristown, N.J.-based firm that was created last month by the merger of Allied and Signal Cos. Allied-Signal has not yet been served with court papers, according to a company spokeswoman, who added that the suit is one of “several” suits addressing the executive benefits package.
