A head-on collision on a Baja California toll road left three Americans dead and a fourth injured, authorities said. The accident occurred on the highway linking Tijuana with the coastal resort town of Ensenada about 60 miles to the south, Mexican Federal Highway Police spokesman Rene Veytia said. One car crossed the center divider and smashed into an oncoming car, the San Diego County coroner’s office said. Arthur Sorrell, 52, and Brian Lee Sorrell, 20, both of San Diego, were in one car and died at the scene. Veytia said Arthur Sorrell was driving his car north at high speed when the vehicle hit the center divider and crossed into the southbound lane, colliding with a car driven by Mary September Miller, 23, of San Diego. Miller and her critically injured passenger, Diane Stevens, 29, also of San Diego, were taken to the University of California, San Diego, Medical Center, where Stevens died of head injuries. Miller was in fair condition.
