Boxer Barry McGuigan’s manager said he turned down a $1-million offer to fight Azumah Nelson in a featherweight title unification bout.
Barney Eastwood, millionaire Belfast bookmaker, said the offer by London promoter Frank Warren did not fit in with his plans.
Nelson, 27, retained his World Boxing Council 126-pound title Saturday when he knocked out Briton Pat Cowdell in the first round.
