Irvine Valley Wins Soccer Match, 2-0

Freshman striker Chris Noffke scored two goals to lead Irvine Valley College to a 2-0 South Coast Conference soccer win over Orange Coast College in Friday at Irvine.

Noffke scored his first goal, a header on an assist from Mark Jimmerson, 33 minutes into the first half. Late in the second half, Noffke broke through a Pirate trap and scored another Wolverine goal on a kick from 6 feet out. The win keeps Irvine Valley in second place behind Cerritos, who beat the Wolverines (4-1, 10-2-1) earlier in the week, 3-0.
