Kasparov Calls a Timeout

MOSCOW —
Challenger Gary Kasparov postponed the 18th game of his world chess title rematch with champion Anatoly Karpov on Saturday, calling a timeout, Tass news agency reported.
Both players have now used two out of their three permitted timeouts. Kasparov leads the 24-game series by nine points to eight.
