Gov. George Deukmejian has posted $10,000 in rewards for information leading to the arrest of arsonists who set three large brush fires in Ventura and Los Angeles counties. The governor also called upon his Special Arson Task Force to help Ventura and Los Angeles county officials find the arsonists. The 45,710-acre Ferndale fire in the Santa Paula-Ojai area burned three homes, five mobile homes, 20 vehicles and one office building. The Pioneer fire in the Simi Valley area covered 1,600 acres. The 6,500-acre Decker Canyon fire in the Malibu area burned two homes, two mobile homes and two vehicles.
