Monrovia : Huntington Drive Project Set

The county has awarded a $475,435 contract to Excel Paving Co. of Long Beach for improvements on Huntington Drive from Myrtle Avenue to Shamrock Avenue in Monrovia. The two-month project, scheduled for completion in March, will include construction of curb, sidewalk and drainage facilities, landscaping, traffic signal modifications and improved street lights.

A $252,540 contract for improvements on Huntington Drive from 5th Avenue to the Foothill Freeway has been awarded to Wiley Construction Inc. of Duarte. The 45-day project, scheduled for completion in February, will include widening the roadway, constructing raised medians, modifying traffic signals and installing street lights and landscaping. Both projects will involve reducing Huntington Drive to three traffic lanes, one for each direction and one for left turns.
