A San Jose man with a record of three drunk driving convictions was arrested on suspicion of murder after a traffic accident in which a woman was killed and her 2-year-old child injured. The blood alcohol level of Donald Tyson Nobles, 22, was measured at .23%--more than twice the legal limit for intoxication--immediately after the accident in which his truck crashed head-on into a car driven by Mary Sanchez, 38. Sanchez died about an hour after the crash and her daughter, Monica, was reported in stable condition after treatment for cuts and bruises. Nobles was admitted to Valley Medical Center of San Jose, where he was reported in critical but stable condition with internal injuries. Police said court records indicate misdemeanor drunk driving convictions in Sunnyvale in 1982 and Las Vegas in 1983 and a felony drunk driving conviction in 1984.
