FALL SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS : Hollywood Rallies to Tie North Hollywood in Soccer

North Hollywood had an early lead against Hollywood, but couldn’t hold on for the win. Instead they settled for a 1-1 tie in a Western League soccer game at Hollywood.

North Hollywood’s Danny Spector scored an unassisted goal 13 minutes into the game.

The lead looked like it would hold up until Hollywood scored on a breakaway with 10 minutes left in the game.

North Hollywood is 2-1-1. Hollywood is 2-0-2.

Samuel Cortez scored with 14 minutes left in the game to give Grant a 1-0 soccer win over Poly Friday in a Mid-Valley League soccer game at Grant.

Grant is 3-1 in league and 5-1 overall.

Granada Hills overcame a first-half deficit to beat Cleveland, 2-1, in a West Valley League soccer game at Granada Hills.

Cleveland led 1-0 at halftime, but Mark Hurliman and John Markoe scored second half goals to give the Highlanders the win.

Granada Hills is 2-1.
