Anaheim : Suspect Is Arrested in L.A. Woman’s Slaying
Police have arrested a suspect in the slaying of Kelly Devon Tucker, 22, a Los Angeles woman whose partially dismembered body was found along the railroad tracks in Anaheim several hours after being run over by a freight train.
Police Lt. Stan Kantor said James Lee Parker, 23, of Anaheim was the last person seen with Tucker before she was shot in the back of the head and her body left on the tracks beneath the Brookhurst Street overpass on Oct. 27.
Parker and Tucker had met in Los Angeles the previous evening, Kantor said. “It was just a casual acquaintance, they had just been briefly introduced,” he added, declining to discuss details of the investigation. No weapon has been recovered.
Parker was scheduled for arraignment today in North Orange County Municipal Court. He was being held at the Orange County Jail on $250,000 bail.
