Pacific Handicap Draws Field of 10
Two-year-old fillies with aspirations to the rich Golden State Futurity next month will compete tonight at Los Alamitos Race Course in the $25,000-added Pacific Handicap at 350 yards.
Highweight tonight at 124 pounds will be Life Styles, a finalist in the Kindergarten at Los Alamitos in June. After finishing well back in that race, she was discovered to have bone chips in a knee and underwent surgery. She makes her return to competition tonight.
Also in the 10-horse lineup is Brazen Britches, purchased for $170,000 at the R.D. Hubbard Dispersal Sale in August. She will be making her first start for owner H.T. Brooks and will carry 123 pounds in the Pacific.
First post tonight is 7:30.
