San Jose State’s Ralls Leads at USIU
Julie Ralls of San Jose State was the only player to break par Thursday, shooting a one-under 72 to take a one-stroke lead after the first round of the USIU Women’s Invitational at the Rancho Bernardo Country Club.
Ralls leads teammate Dana Lofland and San Diego State’s Karen Enberg and Joann Walker going into today’s second round. Meanwhile, San Jose State leads the team competition by one stroke over UCLA. San Diego State is third, three shots back, and defending champion USC is fourth, four strokes off the lead.
