Lloyd and Jane Pettit, giving in to objections from the Milwaukee Brewers, have decided against building the new Bradley Center sports complex at Milwaukee County Stadium, their attorney announced. The Brewers had complained that the additional facility would cause overcrowding and threatened to move the baseball franchise if the Bradley Center was built on adjacent grounds.

The Pettits, who are contributing $30 million to $40 million to build the facility, had steadfastly clung to the stadium site as their first choice since the gift was announced March 5. The Pettits say they are considering 10 other sites in the area.
