A 29-year-old man died of injuries he suffered in an accident while riding a motorscooter 10 days earlier, police reported Saturday.
Rafael Oscar Santos Becerril of Anaheim was injured Nov. 12 as he was eastbound on Lincoln Avenue and approaching Loara Street. He struck the side of a southbound car on Loara. The car had stopped at the stop sign at Lincoln and had begun proceeding across the intersection, Lt. Del Wade said.
Becerril was thrown from his scooter and against another nearby car that was stopped, northbound on Loara, police said. The victim was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center, where he died about 4:30 p.m. Friday, Wade said.
The driver of the first car, Deborah Hayes of Anaheim, was not cited, but an investigation is continuing, Wade said.
