Top-seeded Mike Aulby successfully defended his title in the $150,000 World Open bowling tournament at Glendale Heights, Ill., beating Tom Baker in the title match, 245-189.

It was the sixth title of the year for Aulby, the most on the Professional Bowlers Assn. Tour since Mark Roth won six in 1979.

Aulby, the 1985 PBA money leader, earned $27,000 to increase his record total to $199,800.
