Local News in Brief : Transient Shot During Row in N. Hollywood
A 36-year-old transient stumbled into a North Hollywood fire station Monday and was treated for gunshot wounds he suffered during an argument with another man at a nearby park, Los Angeles police said.
Roger Jack was then taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, where he is in stable condition with two wounds in his back, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Detective Howard Landgren said Jack and another man were arguing at about 12:20 p.m. in North Hollywood Park about comments Jack made about the man’s wife. During the argument, the man got a .22-caliber rifle out of his car and shot Jack in the back, Landgren said. Jack then ran to Fire Station 60, where he was treated by paramedics.
