Authorities arrested two Colombian nationals late Tuesday at an Irvine parking lot after the pair tried to sell 2.2 pounds of cocaine with a street value of $100,000 to an undercover narcotics officer, Newport Beach police said.

Eduardo Perez, 18, of North Hollywood and Holmes A. Herrera, 18, of Costa Mesa were arrested by narcotics officers with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and San Clemente and Newport Beach Police departments, said Sgt. Tim Riley of Newport Beach.

Perez is suspected of delivering the high-grade cocaine to Herrera in a parking lot at 18512 MacArthur Blvd. in Irvine. Riley said the pair attempted to sell the cocaine to an undercover federal narcotics officer.
